What Is CarrierAssure?
CarrierAssure is a carrier risk and vetting platform. It gives every motor carrier a grade on an A-to-F style scale, meant to predict how the carrier will perform on a load. The score draws on FMCSA data, safety and compliance history, and reviews or reports submitted by brokers. Brokers use the grade as a quick filter: a high grade gets a carrier through onboarding, a low grade gets a second look or a decline.
What catches carriers off guard is the broker input. Your Carrier Assure score is not just your inspections and authority history. A broker who had a bad experience with you, or believes they did, can submit a report that pulls the grade down. Because the grade is a single letter, the broker reading it cannot tell whether the drop came from a safety problem or one disputed load.
Who Sees Your CarrierAssure Score?
CarrierAssure is integrated into onboarding tools such as MyCarrierPortal, which many brokerages use to set up new carriers. Your grade appears inside the broker's own workflow at the exact moment they decide whether to approve your packet. It also appears to brokers who vet carriers directly through CarrierAssure.
Brokers rarely see the full story behind the grade. Compliance staff are often told to approve carriers above a certain grade and hold or reject the rest. A negative report that moves you across that line can cost you a broker relationship before anyone reads your file.
How a CarrierAssure Report Costs You Loads
The effect shows up in onboarding. Setup packets that used to be approved in an afternoon now sit in review or come back declined with no explanation. Brokers who were happy to work with you say compliance will not clear you. New brokers never follow up at all.
Unlike a
FreightGuard report, which other brokers read as a text entry, a CarrierAssure report hides inside a letter grade. That makes it harder for a broker to give you the benefit of the doubt and harder for you to spot the cause.
Can a CarrierAssure Report Be Removed?
Yes. The report that lowered your grade was submitted by a broker, and the broker can take it back. CarrierAssure's grade is calculated from the inputs it has; when a negative broker report is removed, the input that pulled the grade down is gone.
The route to removal runs through the company that filed the report, just as it does on Carrier411, Highway and TIA Watchdog. We do not promise a specific grade afterward, because the score also depends on data no one can negotiate away, such as inspection history. What we do is remove the broker report dragging it down.
Why Disputing It Yourself Rarely Works
Carriers who find a bad broker report on CarrierAssure usually try one of two things. Both fail.
The first is complaining to the platform. Arguing with CarrierAssure about a dispute between you and a broker does not change the fact that the broker put the report there, and the broker is the one who can take it back.
The second is calling the broker. By then the carrier is frustrated, and the broker remembers the dispute from their own side. The call becomes a replay of the original argument, the broker feels pressured, and the answer is no. Carriers who send sharp emails or hint at consequences do even worse, because now removing the report looks like caving in.
What is missing in both approaches is a neutral voice that knows what the broker needs to hear before they will agree. That is what mediation supplies. Our post on
why mediation works better than other removal routes explains the difference.
How FGR Handles CarrierAssure Report Removal
FGR is a mediation company. We negotiate with the broker who filed the CarrierAssure report on your behalf until the broker agrees to remove it. We do not file complaints with CarrierAssure and we do not pressure anyone. We handle the conversation as a third party with no stake in the original dispute, which changes how the broker responds.
You send us the details through our form or by phone. We review the report and the broker, give you a straight answer about your chances and quote a fee. If you proceed, our mediators take over all contact with the broker and keep you informed until it is gone. Most cases close within a few business days.
FGR's success rate is 82%. We have removed more than 300 reports across CarrierAssure,
Carrier411,
Highway and
TIA Watchdog, including 214 removals in the last year.
What CarrierAssure Report Removal Costs
Each case is quoted individually after review; the broker, the report's content and how long it has affected your grade all shape the work. What never varies is the payment rule: no upfront payment, and you pay only after the report has been removed. If we cannot get it removed, you owe nothing.
